Materials:

●Genuine gold leaf is made of alloy containing gold, silver and copper.
●Gold is the major content of the alloy.
●23Kt gold leaf is made of alloy containing about 96% gold.
●Transfer gold leaf, also referred to as patent  leaf, is gold leaf mounted to special tissue paper by a pressure process.
●Transfer gold leaf will stay on the backing tissue paper until it is pressed onto the prepared surface and the tissue backing is removed.
●Transfer( Patent) gold leaf is sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity and needs to be stored properly.

●Thickness: about 13 grams per 1000 leaves;
●Each leaf in size: 8 cms x 8cms; Each leaf is mounted to  backing tissue paper;
●With tissue paper between leaves (tissue paper forming a booklet);

Features:

●Genuine gold leaf is good for multi-uses of gildings, applicable onto all kinds of materials like metal, wood, board, paper, fabric, plastic, polyresin, ceramic, glass, stone etc.
●Gold is completely resistant to corrosion. The addition of silver and copper lowers the resistance of gold leaf to corrosion. But in general, genuine gold leaf is better than imitation gold leaf in color sustaining.
●Genuine gold leaf is more suitable for outdoor work than imitation gold leaf.
●Transfer (patent) gold leaf is necessary for outdoor work or where conditions would make loose leaf unmanageable. 
●Transfer (Patent) gold leaf is not suitable for water gilding and is best suited for flat surfaces.
